Production Planning Manager

Radiac Abrasives, Inc., a leading manufacturer of conventional bonded and super abrasives is looking for a Production Planning Manager to join our Oswego team.  For more than 100 years, Radiac has delivered industry leading technology and quality products and service to the metal finishing industry. Radiac is a TYROLIT Company that is owned by the Swarovski Group which is headquartered in Schwaz, Austria.

Annual Salary Range for this position is $90,000 to $126,000.

Basic Function:
The production planning manager develops and manages production schedules, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of products within budget. This role involves coordinating across departments, managing inventory, and analyzing production data to ensure deadlines are met. Key responsibilities also include, monitoring production progress, supporting the production team and reporting on production status to Radiac Abrasives senior management team.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Partners with production and engineering to develop, execute, and monitor Material Requirement Planning (MRP) buy/build plan to meet customers’ delivery requirements while effectively utilizing resources
2. Liaison with shop resources, customers, supply chain personnel, quality assurance, production, engineering and production-planning personnel and Company leadership to meet production and quality requirements
3. Interface with various production departments and shop personnel to resolve production and/or quality issues to ensure quality product is delivered on schedule
4. Understand and assist production and engineering in maintaining and meeting budget requirements on assigned projects
5. Record production data, including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, or quality control measures
6. Compile information, such as production rates and progress, materials inventories, materials used, or customer information, so that status reports can be completed
7. Other duties as required
8. Leads team in daily workflow.
9. Run required reports from SAP.
10. Coordinates with various departments to ensure routings / BOM’s are correct.

Skills:

1. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
2. Proficient with computer programs such as Microsoft Office.
3. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and other data analysis tools.
4. Familiar in SAP.
5. Familiarity with production planning and scheduling techniques, capacity planning and inventory management principles
6. Understand manufacturing processes.
7. Strong Organizational Skills.
8. Ability to work in a team environment. 
9. Ability to obtain and interpret part drawings.

Experience and Education:

1. Requires a minimum of 3-5 years of progressive manufacturing experience.
2. Requires a minimum of 3-5 years of management experience.
3. College degree preferred

Essential Physical Requirements:

1. 20/20 vision required with or without correction.
2. Ability to use hands, sit, stand, and or walk 100% of the workday.
3. Ability to use a computer.
4. Ability to lift 50 lbs.
