Machinist / PM Position

We are currently looking for a maintenance tech to join our team at our Marysville, WA facility.

Basic Function:  Maintains facility, systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance schedules; restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts.

Tasks:

1. Ensure that all operations adhere to safety protocols.
2. Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping
3. Select appropriate machines (e.g. lathes) and position or load material for a job
4. Perform preventive maintenance on facility and production equipment.
5. Work on maintenance required out of regular hours if required.

Responsibilities:

1. Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance.
2. Inspect and/or test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair needs.
3. Clean machines and machine parts, using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment.
4. Maintain organized and clean work area.
5. Communicate all problems and other work-related issues with Supervisor or Lead.
6. Receive, understand, and follow all written and oral instructions.                                       
7. Comply with all company policies and procedures including safety and attendance requirements.
8. Resolve day-to-day issues by working effectively with others.

Skills:

1. Ability to communicate, read, and write in English.
2. Ability to perform basic math.
3. Familiarity with the use of hand tools and measuring instruments.
4. Ability to follow written and verbal instruction.
5. Ability to read a blueprint.

Experience and Education:

High School Diploma Required

Essential Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to use hands constantly throughout the workday.
2. Ability to stand and/or walk constantly throughout the workday.
3. Ability to bend, stoop, or twist frequently throughout the work day.
4. Ability to exert physical force to push, pull, lift or carry 50 pounds frequently.
5. Ability to climb ladders and stairs occasionally.
6. Ability to see detail at close range - 20/20 vision required with or without correction constantly.
7. Ability to work in confined spaces occasionally.
8. Ability to work in manufacturing environment.
